Inspiration: Twilight Outtake – Extended Prom Remix.
Author's Notes:The Prom Remix is not part of canon, but it bugged me for all that. I really wanted someone in canon to recognize how completely nasty Alice was being. Esme develops the spine here that she doesn't have in canon because she's just had enough.

The italicized bit at the beginning is a quote from the Remix and is by Meyer.

Author’s Note: I was skimming through Mervin’s sporkings and came across the spitefic she did in chapter 8, when Edward is being all creepy and Bella goes to the toilet to call Charlie. That got me thinking, and after getting this fabulous idea of Charlie being a secret super hero, aided by the forces of Heaven, I just had to start writing. We’ll see what that will do to my exam tomorrow.

Author’s Note: Mervin asked in the epilogue: If Charlie is so suspicious of Edward and blames him for what happened to his daughter, why is he perfectly all right with Edward taking her to prom apparently against her knowledge? Why is he happily conspiring with a guy he supposedly hates? And why does he have him on speed dial?

Well, if I were writing it, I’d say that Charlie doesn’t know that it’s against Bella’s wishes as Bella doesn’t seem to have any will around Wardo. And he has Carlisle on speed dial because he is working in collusion with various cops to have this happen.
