Author’s Note: So this would probably make way more sense to those who are familiar with the World of Darkness line of roleplaying games. Essentially, it's a horror game focused on various types of characters (called 'splats'). The most famous are probably the Vampire and Werewolf series, and I keep meaning to do a rewrite of Twilight set in the World of Darkness, because it's pretty much the exact opposite; no matter what you do, if you're a vampire, you can never escape the fact that you're a monster. This fic, however, is based around Hunter: the Vigil, which is the only line that really focuses on the human characters that fight back - and win. Basically it's Supernatural: the Roleplaying Game.

Instead, it sounds like she just wants a baby, and gives me the impression that, had she remained human, she would have raised the child until it was past the age of being interesting to her before passing it off to someone else and working to have another so she could enjoy another baby.
