Author: [livejournal.com profile] amadris
Fandom(s): Twilight/H. P. Lovecraft's works
Rating: PG-13

Title: The Wise Man and the Fool
Author: [livejournal.com profile] das_mervin
Fandom(s): Twilight (Post-Breaking Dawn)
Rating: PG
Word Count: 6,530
Inspiration: The Best Battle Never in Breaking Dawn, the Cullens’ arrogant assumption that it was a sound defeat of the Volturi even though everyone did absolutely nothing but talk, and Meyer’s general inability to make a believable and convincing villain.
Warnings: None, except major spoilers for the entire Twilight Series.
Summary: “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.” Aro heeded Napoleon’s words as the Cullens made their own fatal mistake—and intended to correct his own.
Author’s Note: Just a one shot; I originally just posted this on my personal LJ and FanFic.Net, but I figure, hey—may as well bring it here now. This is what I think happened when the Volturi went back to Italy. The title comes from the quote, “Wise men profit more from fools than fools from wise men; for the wise men shun the mistakes of fools, but fools do not imitate the successes of the wise,” by Cato the Elder.

Title: Addiction
Author:
[info]elementallove
Inspiration: Between New Moon and Eclipse
Summary: Angela Weber had always been the quiet one, but she was protective of her friends.
Author's Note: This is basically a 'what if' situation. You kind of have to believe that Meyer wrote Bella as a better friend to Angela and the rest then has been written in canon. This started out as Angela just cussing out Edward but it evolved from there into something a little bit more touching.

1. Title: Be Dazzled: A Supernatural Twilight crossover
Author: iSparkle616
Rating: T
Length: ~ 22,900 (Prologue + 7 chapters + Epilogue)
Summary: It was supposed to be a normal hunt for the Winchesters. Too bad they ended up in Forks, Washington.
Status: Complete
Reccer's comments: This story is kind of the reason I requested a rec tag in the first place; it's a pitch-perfect parody of Twilight, and features two very well-written Winchester brothers kicking vampiric ass in their own inimitable way. Trust me, it's hilarious, and neatly points out Twilight's flaws without sounding preachy about it. (And Sam and Dean's reactions to Bella and the Cullens is comic gold, I swear). Not much by way of spoilers, as there's no Jacob or the werewolves, and as far as SPN goes, this is set late in the first season. If you don't know much about SPN, don't worry; the story's still pretty easy to understand.

2. Title: Friday's Child
Author: Lisse
Rating: K
Length: ~800
Summary: Ten facts about one girl. Sorta-metafic, ginormous Breaking Dawn spoilers.
Status: Complete
Reccer's comments: You have no idea how much I love this story. It's set years after BD (so spoilers for all four books) and presents Renesmee in a completely different light - it presents her as a well-rounded character, who is curious about and yearns for the human part of her heritage. The lovely thing is, the story stays true to Twilight canon, yet makes these little tongue-in-cheek jabs at the wrongness inherent in the books - both Twilight fans and those who hate the books can read this and feel satisfied. That's not mentioning the quality of the writing - it's lyrical and beautiful, and the last line left me smiling with pleasure and pride. I cannot rec it enough.

Title: No Response
Author: [livejournal.com profile] winki_pop
Fandom(s): Twilight
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1,024
Inspiration: The Vegas Aside Gehayi sporked from the Twilight out-takes
Warnings: A few swears, Edward’s violent temper implying violence.
Summary: A huge reality check for the stupid threesome when what really happens when Charlie finds out his daughter is no longer in Phoenix…
(It's canon-based, but Meyer's characters are so bloody rigid and not all the details were clear in this aside, but I tried my best :D)

Author's Note: I know I usually write crack fics, but I just felt compelled to write a drama fic after reading Gehay's sporking of the Vegas Aside where she made a lot of great points. Thanks, Gehayi! :D
