Anyone else watch Criminal Minds? Because I recently got into the fandom and watching it has reminded me of Fifty Shades of Grey on more than one occasion. And not in a good way, if there even is such a thing.

Spoilers for the episodes will be put beneath spoiler cuts.

Fandom(s): Criminal Minds
Title: Season 4 Episode 14, "Cold Comfort"
Rating: R
What it reminded me of: Christian's wangst about his dead mother.
Warnings: Violence, character death, necrophilia, generally disturbing themes.
Summary: The BAU are called to a case where women are being abducted, killed and embalmed, with their bodies being held after death. The culprit is revealed to a man named Roderick Glass. He was pretty much raised by his nanny, who died suddenly while his parents were away. He was left with her body for several days, and would curl up and sleep beside it, draping its arm over himself. When he abducted women, he would force them into the role of his nanny before embalbing them and keeping their corpses to have sex with.

Bonus? It takes place in Washington state.

And if that isn't enough nightmare fuel, have another.

Fandom(s): Criminal Minds
Title: Season 7 Episode 20, "The Company"
Rating: R
What it reminded me of: Christian's bullshit contracts and, generally, how he treats Ana.
Warnings: Domestic violence, abuse, brainwashing, very heavily implied rape over a long time, abduction/imprisonment of children.
Summary: Morgan's sister believes that she sees their presumed-dead cousin, and calls Morgan and the team in to investigate. The sister is alive - she's just been held captive by a man for the last eight years. He's part of a group of men, all of whom are abusive degradations to the name of humanity, who keep women captive by two means. First is threats of 'The Company' and what they will do to the woman and her family should she try to leave; this 'company' is fictitious, but the women don't know that. Secondly, they have children with the women and then keep these children captive as, essentially, hostages for the women's behaviour. Throw in some bullshit contracts, a little bit of non-consensual physical violence, and immediate lawyering up in the face of a domestic abuse charge, and all I could see was Christian Grey.

A slightly less creepy bonus, but the actor who plays the perp in this one is awesome, and nowadays better known for The Walking Dead.

Title: Poor Unfortunate Souls
Fandom(s):Fifty Shades Trilogy
Rating: R
Word Count: This Chapter: 4,431, Everything: 44,714.
Inspiration: Blame gehayi, people. She mentioned in the comments way back around chapter 4 of Fifty Shades Darker that she'd love to see a) Grey properly prosecuted for his crimes, b) some kickass ladies taking him down, c) Grey pitted against an awesome wizard, or d) all of the above. This is option d.
Warnings: For the whole fanfic: Discussions of: rape, stalking, emotional abuse, psychological abuse, gaslighting, financial abuse, and identity theft. Mentions of possible child abuse, and malpracticing doctors and psychiatrists, domestic abuse, and wrongful imprisonment. Christian Grey demonstrates signs of either being a malignant narcissist or having antisocial personality disorder. Elena Lincoln is the same pedophile that she is in canon. Nearly everyone else in this story has PTSD. Discussions of other mental illnesses. Offscreen Violence. Sexual acts native to the Fifty Shades canon.
Chapter Specific Warnings: Suicidal ideation, mentions of past rape and abuse, offscreen character death, emotional flashbacks, Christian Grey is an awful man
Summary: Kate decides to hire a pair of detectives to investigate Christian Grey, in the vain hope that she can find a way to keep Ana safe from him. The detectives have no idea what a mess they've just signed up for, but it's not just Grey they'll end up investigating, though his crimes are many.
Author's Note  Allie and Lindsay belong to me, Fifty Shades does not, and this is an urban fantasy AU containing magic but no supernatural creatures.

Title: Operation Twilight: Resolution
Author: [info]afterandalasia
Fandom(s): Twilight
Rating: Probably R
Word Count: 3,294
Inspiration: Crime procedurals, Mervin's talking about the Cullens' death counts and... something. Boom, serial killer!Cullens and undercover!Bella.
Warnings: Descriptions of violence, rape and serial killer practices, and characters deep in delusion.
Summary: The string of murders has been going on for long enough. Charlie has been in deep cover to watch the Cullens, and now he's getting a partner to help take them down. And who would suspect a moody, clumsy highschooler of being a trained FBI operative who specialises in these sort of bait operations?
In part three, the Cullens are finally bought to trial, and Charlie and Bella go their separate ways.
Disclaimer: Twilight is most definitely not mine. My knowledge of police and FBI procedures is informed by the media as well as my own research, and I doubt that it's entirely accurate. But it is more fun. This story is set in 2005, approximately in line with the Twilight books.

Word Count: 1,878
Inspiration: Crime procedurals, and... something. Boom, serial killer!Cullens and undercover!Bella. This chapter includes Edward watching Bella in her sleep, and that infamous meadow scene.
Warnings: Discussion of serial killer practices, more detailed this time, and suggestion of cults. Descriptions of violence and reference to rape.

In part two, Charlie and Bella get the breakthrough that they're looking for.

Title: For You, I Will
Author: Das Mervin
Beta: Gehayi
Rating: Hard R for violence, sexual content, thematic elements, language
Word Count: 7,700
Warnings: Rape, violence, abuse.
Inspiration: Chapter 8 “Imprint” in Eclipse.
Summary: “And you would do anything for her, be anything for her… You become whatever she needs you to be, whether that’s a protector, or a lover, or a friend, or a brother.” And Melanie Sampson liked that. She liked that a lot.
Author’s Note: I’ve seen plenty of spitefics about imprinting and all of the logical conclusions those lead to—all of them result in victimized women. But then Gehayi mentioned something in a sporking I beta’d for her, and suddenly I realized the horrible, terrifying potential for…something else. Imprinting works both ways, you see. So…here’s the opposite side of the coin. And heed the warnings, please. I kept things vague, but it’s still very clear what is going on.
