Not technically a fic rec, but when I read this I had the feeling that everyone here would appreciate it. It's an article from a site called Listverse, and does exactly what it says on the tin.

You should read the book Postmortal by Drew Magary in which humans develop a cure to aging and thus they are immortal until they get a disease or are killed. It actually includes several of the points and the premise is interesting and scarily believable.
