Summary: Bella doesn't completely acknowledge that Alice is hungry...
Author's Note: This was written because I didn't understand how Alice could coddle Bella like a baby when she's practically starving from not having eaten in a long while. Canon is broken a little bit (in giving Alice fangs). Also, the line "A perfect, pearly gorgeous smile...like broken glass" was inspired by a line from the Alice in Wonderland fic Alice, Afterwards.

EDIT: Fixed a part where I accidentally switch to past tense. BLECH.


Bella's not sure what to think when Alice pulls her into her lap, except for Oh her voice is so gorgeous beautiful she reminds me of Edward--

She honestly doesn't completely acknowledge that Alice is hungry, but when she does she says "I'm sorry so sorry" and Alice just smiles. A perfect, pearly, gorgeous smile, that's just a little bit off, like broken glass.

Bella doesn't notice Alice stroking her hair. She doesn't notice how Alice's eyes are fading to an eerie red, how her canines are lengthening into fangs. All she notices is that Alice is home, Alice is home, and Edward will be home soon too--

Alice sinks her fangs into Bella's neck. Bella's first emotion is confusion, then excitement. Alice was going to change her! She's finally going to get what she wants. She's going to be perfect. Pure. Like glass.

But when Alice lets out a throaty growl, like a wild animal, and clenches her teeth deeper into Bella's neck, Bella realizes she is going to die. She screams, because she's going to die.

And because now, she realizes, that no one will weep for her.

Seriously. Bella was just rubbing her bacon smell in Alice's face when she was starving, all like NYAH NYAH YOU CAN'T EAT ME HA HA HA HA. So that had to be remedied.

No prob. I love giving Bella her just desserts. :D
