Inspiration: Breaking Dawn: 9. Sure As Hell Didn't See That One Coming - "The blond bloodsucker – the showy one, Rosalie – bent over her, cutting into my view, hovering in a strange, protective way." In this prequel to Damned (the second entry in a series I've now dubbed Mending Sunrise), I've tried to make sense of Bella's decision to have Nessie, and Rosalie's protection of the pregnant Bella, without the character origami that Meyer employs. Elements of the conception, pregnancy and birth have also been changed.
Warnings: Sensuality and moderate language. This fic is the mildest entry of the Mending Sunrise series, hence the lower rating.
Summary: A wedding followed up with impending parenthood is all perfectly normal for most people... but not when your new husband is a vampire.
