MODPOST: Beta Readers

Hello, all! Friendly neighborhood das_mervin here.

As you know, here at twispitefic, we favor good writing, and we also favor trashing bad writing. In order to enjoy both, however, our own stories need to be well-written with minimal errors. As such, if you need a beta reader for your spitefic, PLEASE, do not feel like you can't just make a post here asking for one. Just title it "Beta reader request" or something similar. I'm sure any number of helpful folks here will either offer their services or link you to a place where they are readily available.

Hey, thanks so much. You know, yesterday I spent a half hour looking for the LJ cut code, and then I couldn't find it! I managed line breaks
without the space, right? Although, I'm trying to use < /b> for bold and < /i> for Italics, and it doesn't seem to work. I'm not very good at HTML and any help you give me will be very much appreciated.

I have a whole new respect for you spiteficcers! I thought it was just getting a story down, but wow!

LJ-cuts work like this:

1) [lj-cut text="Spitefic summary in a sentence or two"]STORY[/lj-cut]

Substitute < and > for [ and ].

2) Put the first part in front of the first sentence after the header.

3) Put the second part after the last punctuation mark in the last sentence of the story.

Bolding works like this:

[b]word or phrase[/b]

Substitute < and > for [ and ].

Italics work like this:

[i]word or phrase[/i]
